Scott Kashnow in Franklin Square has another update on the work of the Franklin Square Community Association to push back against trash and rats in their West Baltimore neighborhood. Tim Bridges said at a recent meeting “We have been talking about trash for 20 years and we still talk about it at every meeting.” Even the rats can’t take it anymore and are drinking themselves to death. Urban Park Rangers will serve as uniformed ambassadors representing the Parks Department protecting the cultural and natural resources of the Baltimore City Parks system. The work of the Rangers includes educating
the public about and enforcing the park rules and regulations, providing orientation to individual parks, providing basic visitor services and assistance, and educating the public about the parks system’s historical and ecological value.

Join your neighbors and choose a location that needs a special cleaning in your neighborhoods. Community representatives should call 311 to register.
