These organizations provide a variety of services and resources to help members access educational opportunities. From technical assistance to social services, there are many ways to benefit from membership. The Office of the State Superintendent of Schools provides technical assistance to local school systems to ensure that all students in Maryland have the same educational opportunities.

This includes mentoring programs, social services such as housing, employment, preparation for work, food, and clothing, and language classes. The Intercultural Counseling Connection is a Fusion Partnerships project that provides counseling and support services to members of the community. To learn more about this program, contact Lauren Goodsmith. In addition to these services, members can access forms from medical, religious, legal, and elder care organizations.

These forms are valid in Maryland and can be used to create advance instructions for medical care or other needs. Members can also use the Central Work Scheduling System to meet with representatives from boards or committees. The Maryland Home Improvement Commission is another resource available through membership. This commission licenses and regulates home improvement contractors and sellers.

Home improvement work includes altering, remodeling, repairing, or replacing a building or part of a building used as a residence. Home improvements also include work done on individual condo units. Students with disabilities in grades 3 through 8 and 10 undergo the Maryland School Evaluation or the Maryland Alternative School Evaluation depending on their Individualized Education Program. The Pro Bono Counseling Project (PBCP) connects Maryland residents with limited resources to volunteer and licensed mental health providers and other support resources.
